My Baby is 3!!

My little baby boy turned 3 on Thursday. I can't believe he is that old already.
A few things about Matt:
*He loves to build legos. He is alway putting them together and explaining what he has built in intricate detail.
*He has quite the imgination. He is always playing make-belive, usually involving monsters and knights.
* He also loves cars and has quite a collection going already.
*He is very cuddly and loves to just sit and cuddle on the couch right after he wakes up in the morning.
*He can count to 10 (although he almost always leaves out six)
* His favorite person in the world is his Daddy, who he still cries for sometimes after Aaron has left for work, especially if he gets hurt.
*His favorite past-time is to pick on his sister, whom he really loves, but also torments.
* We love him to death and can't wait to see the little man he is going to become!

He had his first b-day party this year. We invited seven of his friends for a festive pirate party. We dressed all the kids up, and gave them all swords (which were the hit of the party, literally!) The party started out with the kids making telescopes (from paper towel rolls), then we played a version of pin-the-tail, only with a treasure map and the kids had to put their treasure chest closest to the X. We ended with a treasure hunt. THen cake and ice cream. Aaron's mom was here for the party, so luckily I had help making the cake this year. Matt had a blast. I tried to take pictures of the kids all dressed up, but getting 8 3-year-olds to sit still long enough for a picture is no easy task. Happy Birthday Matt!!

YOU made the cake! You're amazing. It looks like a professional did it. Wait is your mother-in-law a professional?

Too cute! I love the pirates. Great theme/idea! and what an awesome cake! My boys would be in heaven with a cake like that, (although I don't think Tyler would let us cut into it)
