Easter

Here we are dyeing some eggs: My kids have not mastered the art of using the egg dipper, they much prefer their hands.

These are for Aaron's dad. . .

Yesterday it was a beautiful, sunny 70 degrees, our like 3rd sunny day this year, so of course we had to head outside. We walked to Fisher Basin Park and played for a while.

Here is Ramseys, the kids and Aaron playing some soccer.

Here is Kaitlyn putting those tennis skills to use. She is actually pretty good.

Then we walked back home for our Easter egg hunt. This is actually the first year since we moved to Vancouver that the kids got to have their hunt outside.

And here they are dressed in their Easter finery. You might be able to tell in the pictures that we all managed to get sunburned yesterday. Gotta love fair skin :) Happy Easter eveyone!

They grow up so fast

I was talking to Wendy today, and she was saying something about Kaitlyn's boyfriend. I stopped her and said, "What?!?" And she said that Kaitlyn had told Annie all about her boyfriend, who had beautiful black hair, and dark eyes. So when I picked Kaitlyn up from school today I asked her if she had a boyfriend. She said, "Yep, his name is Kaleb Franklin."
I asked, "Why do you like him Kaitlyn?"
Her reply "He is so cute!" (I looked up said Kaleb Franklin in Kaitlyn's class picture and sure enough, he is quite the cute kid with black hair and dark eyes)

Another conversation:

This one took place while I was fixing Kaitlyn's hair this morning.

Kaitlyn: "Mom, guess what I see when I close my eyes?"
Me: "What?"
Kaitlyn, with her eyes closed, "A handsome prince in a mansion!"

Oh, to be six again. . .

Utah Trip

For my birthday, Aaron and my mom and sister went in on a ticket so I could go home for a few days. I don't get to see my family nearly enough! Last friday I flew out. It was a great trip. It was great to leave the rain and fly into sun. My sister picked me up on Friday and it was beautiful! We put my niece Isabella into a stroller and took a 2 hour walk all around BYU campus. It's amazing how much has changed since I've been there, but then I remembered that it's been almost 8 years since I graduated! Friday night we watched Harry Potter. On Saturday we enjoyed another beautiful day and ate some Cafe Rio! Yum! On Sunday we headed up to my brother's house to see him and his family. Good food, games and fun. On Monday morning my mom took me out to breakfast and shopping, then I got on the plane and came home to sun! It was a great trip, and I loved meeting my new niece. Here she is with me: And here is my sister Megan and her beautiful family. Thanks Meg and Mom for the ticket! Love you all!
