Pumpkins and Tutu's

We finally carved the kids pumpkins this weekend. They were so excited, up until we pulled the top off and told them to clean them out. Then both turned back into the squemish kids that they are and refused to clean them out. That duty fell to mom. Then Kaitlyn drew her face on her pumpkin, and Matt got help with his and Daddy carved .They turned out pretty good. Hopefully they last until Halloween!

Today at Nordstrom's they were putting on a girls tutu party. The girls got to come in their tutu's and get some make-up on, glitter, their nails done and get some candy. Kaitlyn went with Annie and Katie and loved every minute of it. Thank goodness Kaitlyn has Wendy (Annie and Katie's mom) in her life, she might actually turn out to be a girlie-girlie. Heaven knows she gets no help from her mom in that department :)

P.S. if you are wondering about the stuffed dog that features prominantly in all the pictures. . .Kaitlyn's kindergarten class has a "pet" his name is D.O.G. and he gets to come home for a few days with each kid. The kid then writes in D.O.G.'s journal about what they did with him over those few days. They also attach pictures in the journal, thus, D.O.G. got to go to his first, (and I'm sure last) tutu party.

How does Wendy find out about all these things? Lauren would have LOVED it!!!

We love seeing D.O.G. He was so fun to have at our house. :-)

Those are cute pictures! The tutu party sounds SO FUN!! My daughter is 9 and I bet she still would haved loved it! :) Cute pumpkin, too!
(When my daughter had Miss H., she let one of the kids take D.O.G. home at the end of the year. She had a drawing or something. Belinda won! So we have the 2006 D.O.G. at our house!)

Too cute! Isn't funny how excited the kids get to bring those animals home from Kindergarten? Jacob had a bear he brought home and I could not believe the pressure I felt to show this stuffed animal a good time. Ridiculous.
