So here is just a little bit of catch up. The day after Thanksgiving we went with our wonderful friends the Atkinson's to get our tree. For those of you that don't have the pleasure of living in the Pacific Northwest, I feel for you. They have these wonderful Christmas tree farms that are acres and acres of Christmas trees that you get to pick and cut down yourself. The smell is undescribable. And it is cheaper to cut them down yourself and they last twice as long. There was also a hay ride, animals, and free hot chocolate and candy canes. It was great. Unfortunatly I forgot my camera, so you only get to see pics of the finished tree.
We finally decided to move Matt out of his crib. We figured it was finally time. So we looked through the wonderful shopping world that is Craigslist and found a nice bed for him. For those of you that don't know our secret for your kids never getting out of bed, you just buy a bed that they are afraid to get out of. We moved Kaitlyn to her bed (a daybed) at 18months, and she was too afraid to ever get out, so to this day she will stay in bed until one of us goes and gets her. So to solve the problem for Matt we purchased him a loft bed, which is like a bunk bed but with nothing underneath. So being the savvy space savers that we are, we put his toy cart and his dresser underneath the bed. He loves his bed, but is too afraid to get down by himself, even in the daylight.
The rest of the pictures are just some fun ones for your viewing pleasure.

Hey Em! I'm so excited that you guys have a blog! I will check back often. Your kids are getting so big! It's amazing how fast they grow. We'll be in Etna for Christmas- so close, yet so far away from you guys! Hope you have a wonderful holiday season!
Way, way, WAY jealous of the Christmas tree farms. We bought ours down at Star Nursery. In California, there are lots on every other corner; in St. George they're practically non-existent! I'll have to remember the bed trick for the future--I like the idea. :)
hey Emily, just wanted to comment and say I love your blog! :-) we're excited about doughnuts tomorrow! and also, we'll try to remember to bring K's bracelet that she left @ our house...
